Hiking & Camping

Trails begin near Kah-Nee-Ta High Desert Resort & Casino Lodge and range from a casual stroll to a serious climb. All offer stunning views of the high desert and Cascade Mountain Range. Maps are available at the Lodge and the Village Front Gate.

Campsites for RV's are available in The Village RV Park, where facilities include water, electricity, gas, laundry, and showers. Lake Simtustus, Dry Creek Campground, and the High Lake areas offer scenic, secluded campsites. Tribal camping/fishing permits are required.  For a permit, please call (541) 553-2000.kayak.jpg

Notice:  As of September 4, 2008 Indian Park will be closed for the season due to road and park repairs.

Kayaking

Cruise the beautiful Warm Springs River in an inflatable two-person kayak. Guided tours are available Memorial Day through Labor Day. Ages 7 to 14 are welcome with an accompanying adult. Please make reservations at the Pi-Ume-Sha Recreation Building.

Horseback Riding

You'll have a different perspective on Kah-Nee-Ta when you see it from horses.jpghorseback. Guided trips are offered at  Ikiutan Stables, located just across from the Kah-Nee-Ta High Desert Resort & Casino Village.  Pony rides are also available for kids. (541)553-1112.
